ISLAA is pleased to present the New York premiere of "Construcción de un mundo"

A film by Guillermo Costanzo on Marta Minujín

Monday, April 28 at 5 PM | Roxy Cinema, Tribeca

Join us for a special screening of "Construcción de un mundo", an intimate documentary on the life and work of Marta Minujín, one of Latin America’s most influential contemporary artists. The film traces her path from Buenos Aires to Paris, New York, and beyond—revealing a world where the artist herself becomes the work.

Marta Minujín will be present at the screening.

This event is part of ISLAA’s ongoing engagement with Marta Minujín’s groundbreaking practice. In recent years, ISLAA has supported key institutional donations of her work—including to the MFAH and MoMA—and organized the landmark exhibition Born of Informalismo: Marta Minujín and the Nascent Body of Performance in 2022.

Before the screening, we invite guests to visit ISLAA’s exhibition space at 142 Franklin Street in Tribeca, just a few blocks from the cinema. The gallery will be open from 2 PM and features the current exhibitions Magali Lara: Stitched to the Body and Diana Dowek: Uprising in the Mirror.
